Husbands
Revival Begins At Home

Ephesians 5:25-33

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church - 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery - but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Husbands love your wives to prepare her for eternity. Vs 25

Husbands love your wives to help her fulfill God’s mission for her life. Vss 26-27

Husbands love your wives to benefit yourselves. Vss 28-30

Husbands love your wives to let others see what God is like. Vs 31; Genesis 5:1-2

This is the written account of Adam’s family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind” when they were created.

“He” and “the” are singular. “Them” is plural. Together, husband and wife, are to present the image of God!

Love your wife. 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker (more sensitive, more precious) partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Observe-Know Her. Know her.
Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.

Value and Validate-This is a heart decision on your part, not a math issue or equation.
Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Enjoy your wife and “In-joy” your wife-bring joy into her life.
Proverbs 5:18-19 Be happy with the wife you married when you were young. 19 She is beautiful and graceful, just like a deer; you should be attracted to her and stay deeply in love. (CEV)

Ecclesiastes 9:7-9 7 Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do. 8 Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. 9 Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun - all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
