Joshua 5:1-15

God’s presence and power require preparation.

Before you move ahead… (1)

Renew a right relationship with God. (2-9)
The Holy God uses a holy people.

Restore right worship. (10-12)
The Holy God can be trusted in every season.

Reaffirm the Lord’s presence. (13-15)
The Holy God goes with His holy people.

We are your people.
We trust you to be our God.
We will follow wherever you lead.

Give yourself wholly to the God who is holy.

What ways does God “prepare His people?”

Read Colossians 2:11-12. How is baptism a sign similar to circumcision? How does baptism identify believers as a part of the people of God?

Using 1 Peter 1:16 and the cross-referencing in your Bible, where else in Scripture does God call His people to “be holy?”

“God will not use an unprepared soul!” Do you agree or disagree? Would there be a different in saying that God cannot use an unprepared soul?
