Resolution #1 - Be Resolved to Focus on Personal Development this Coming Year
I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—which is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2)
I must make sure there is no un-surrendered area in my life
I must separate myself from the world and its mind-set
I must submit my mind to God’s Word
Resolution #2 - Be Resolved to Focus on Building Relationships
For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. (Romans 14:7)
Resolution #3 - Be Resolved to Focus on a Life of Service
But to each of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it…It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. (Ephesians 4:7, 11-14)
