“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
-Luke 2:14 ESV

How do we “Come Home to The Peace of Christmas?”
WE NEED TO BE

WITH .

Agree with God and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.
-Job 22:21

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. If we want to experience the peace of Christmas, we must be right with God.
-Romans 5:1

“…to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
- Luke 1:79

If anyone belongs to Christ, there is a new creation. The old things have gone; everything is made new! All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between us and himself… God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. And he gave us the message of peace… Christ has no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God.
-2 Cor. 5:17-19, 21

WE NEED TO BE

WITH .

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn’t like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
- John 14:27

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
- Isaiah 26:3

Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
- Philippians 4:7

WE NEED TO BE

WITH .

Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
- Romans 12:17-18

So, let’s agree to use our energy in getting along with each other. Help others with encouraging words; don’t drag them down by finding fault.
- Romans 14:19-20

For if there is no reconciliation,
we cannot call Christ “Prince of Peace.”
If there is no goodwill toward others,
it can all be packed away in boxes for another year.
If there is no forgiveness in us,
there is no cause for celebration…
If Christmas is not now,
if Christ is not born into the everyday present, then what is all this noise about?
