
Restored - “Surrender Daily”
Review Last 3 weeks:
We admitted we were powerless over our problem and that our lives had become unmanageable.
We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God.
We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
We humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings.
We made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
Step 10: Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
Lamentations 3:19-24
I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.
I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
Haggai 1:5-6
This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you! You have planted much but harvest little. You eat but are not satisfied. You drink but are still thirsty. You put on clothes but cannot keep warm. Your wages disappear as though you were putting them in pockets filled with holes! NLT
We must not put off our spiritual commitments.
Daily Challenge:
Where did I see God at work today?
Gratitude helps guard your heart.
Did I react in pride, fear, or anger instead of love?
Our reactions will reveal more about our hearts than our intentions.
Is there someone I need to make amends with today?
Delayed humility is still disobedience.
Was I honest with myself and others?
The truth will always set us free.
Did I spend time with God?
Was I listening or just speaking?
