ICEBREAKER
Let’s check in on SERVE Day again… Each year our church spreads out all over the community to share the love of God through practical acts of kindness. This year, we are not hosting weekend church services on March 23-24 to see the whole church participate some way in SERVE Days.
Do you have a co-worker, friend, neighbor, or organization that needs some extra help? We’d love to hear about your project idea and get a team together to serve.
So, are you doing a project as a small group? Is your group joining or leading different projects? We will have a list of projects available to preview starting March 2, but we’d still love to register more projects.

VIDEO NOTES
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:14 NLT
Luke 10:25-37 NLT
One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”
27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”
29 The man wanted to justify his actions, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Jesus replied with a story:
“A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road.

Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. 35 The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’
36 “Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked.
37 The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.” Luke 10:25-37 NLT
KEY QUESTION
What is a fear that keeps you from loving others?
OTHER DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
(Optional questions to dive deeper as time allows)
- Had you heard the story of the Good Samaritan before? What stood out to you?
- If those closest to you were asked what you love and are devoted to, what would they say?
- This weekend we talked about serving those you worship with and sacrificing for the church. Why do you think God cares for and loves the church so much?

PRAYER & SUPPORT
Ask how you can pray for and support one another this week.
For your closing prayer read the lyrics of this Hymn, “Take my Life and Let It Be” by Frances R. Havergal 1874
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to thee
Take my moments and my days
Let them flow in endless praise
Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of thy love
Take my feet and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee
Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my King
Take my lips and let them be
filled with messages from thee
Take my silver and my gold
not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect and use
Every power as thou shalt choose
Take my will and make it thine
It shall be no longer mine
Take my heart it is thine own
it shall be thy royal throne
Take my love my Lord I pour
at thy feet its treasure store
Take myself, and I will be
Ever only all for thee
