What does it mean to be miracle minded?
*Being miracle-minded means thinking in faith instead of the standard negative approaches to adversity. *

1.

on faithfulness
Isaiah 38:1-5 / ESV, “In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover. 2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, 3 “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 4 Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah: 5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.”

Psalm 31:23 / ESV, “The Lord preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.”

James 1:12 / GNT, “Happy are those who remain faithful under trials, because when they succeed in passing such a test, they will receive as their reward the life which God has promised to those who love him.”

Habakkuk 2:4 / NLT,* “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.*

2. my mind on God’s medical treatments
Isaiah 38:6 / ESV, “And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.”

Second Kings 20:5c, / ESV, “On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord, 7 And Isaiah said, “Bring a cake of figs. And let them take and lay it on the boil, that he may recover.”

Isaiah 55:8-9 / CSB, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. 9  “For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

3.

of my time as a trust from God
Isaiah 38:7-8 / ESV, “This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: 8 I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.’” So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.”

Colossians 4:5b / ICB, “Use your time in the best way you can.”
