Be Encouraged (part 1)

Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ESV

1. Icebreaker - How often do you think about your final days, life after death, or eternity?
   

2. What do you find encouraging about this passage of Scripture?
   

3. Have you found Paul’s words to be true in your life that the grieving process is different when the person who died was a Christian?
   

4. Verse 13 states, “we do not want you to be uninformed.” What questions do you wrestle to understand concerning death and end times events? What can we know for sure based on this passage?
   

5. What are you most looking forward to when Christ returns?
   

6. Who are 2-3 people in your life that have yet to place their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation? Pray for them now.
   

7. Read ahead to chapter 5:1-11. What do you observe about how chapter 4:13-18 tie into chapter 5? Spend time this week meditating on these passages. Discover how encouraging these words of hope are for your faith today.
