“Be courageous to believe God at His word!”

Courageous:

Courage, Brave, Not deterred by danger or pain
Possessing or displaying courage; able to face and deal with danger, Fear without flinching.

Believe:

to think that something is true, correct, or real.
Accept something as true, feel sure of the truth of. Put confidence in.
Hold something as an opinion.

What you believe shapes who you are, how you respond and act in crisis, and affects every decision you make.

What Do You Believe? What are the Tenets of Our Faith?
Tenets are the principles and beliefs, the main principles of a religion or philosophy.

We believe the Bible is the Infallible Word of God —the inspired and trustworthy word of God—serves as our final authority in establishing God’s revealed truth and guidance for living. We seek to derive all of our foundational Christian beliefs from Scripture:

2 Timothy 3:16-17(NKJV)

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

John 17:16-18(NKJV)

16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify[a] them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

John 1:1(NKJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Creation:

Genesis 1:1(NKJV)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

1 Corinthians 8:6(NIV)

6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

John 1:2-3(NKJV)

2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

The Trinity- We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Spirit—whom we worship and glorify:

John 1:1-2(NKJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.

Matthew 28:19(NKJV) 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

The Virgin Birth: He came down from heaven, was incarnate and made man—conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary

Luke 1:26-35(NKJV)

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

Matthew 1:22-25(NKJV)

22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” 24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.

The Deity of Christ:

Colossians 1:15-17(NKJV)

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Philippians 2:5-7(NKJV)

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

Romans 1:1-5(NKJV)

1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God 2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. 5 Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,

Philippians 2:9-11(NKJV)

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Crucifixion and Resurrection: He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father.

John 19:1-6(NKJV)

19 So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. 2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. 3 Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands. 4 Pilate then went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him.” 5 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!” 6 Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”

Matthew 28:5-7(NKJV)

5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”

Mark 16:19(NKJV)

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
