Act 2:16-17a
This is THAT which was spoken by the prophet Joel: “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on ALL people. Your sons and DAUGHTERS will prophecy.

Genesis 2:18
The Lord God said, “It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

.
That Hebrew word for “Helper” does not imply inferiority or superiority. It literally means: “Two people who belong to each other in every way possible.”

Men and women are equally gifted, equally called, and equally anointed by the Holy Spirit for ministry in His church. To live like this is part of what it means to practice resurrection!

Unity: A family of people who are different from each other in every way possible, but who are unified around one thing: OUR ABSOLUTE DEPENDENCE UPON THE GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST AT WORK WITHIN US.

No one elevated and transformed the lives of men that everyone else had given up on, like Jesus. No other rabbi elevated and celebrated women, like Jesus.

Jesus HAD to go through Samaria. (John 4)
.
Jesus didn’t have to do this. Most Jewish people at the time chose not to go thorugh Samaria. Jesus went through Samaria because Jesus doesn’t play the “us vs. them” game. Jesus came to show us that He came to not only reconcile us with God; He came to reconcile us to one another across every barrier that could divide us.
