Emotions: Under New Management

  1. It is proven that certain emotions can trigger

    from our mind and body.

  2. Websters describes

    as a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.

  3. There are also

    feelings (I’ll call it spiritual discernment) as distinguished from reasoning or knowledge.

  4. Three reasons why we need to learn how to manage our emotions:
    a) Many times, our emotions are

    .
    b) It’s easy to be when our emotions are out of control.
    c) emotions such as fear, resentment, jealousy, and worry are some of Satan’s favorite tools to use against us.

  5. Everyone needs to learn to

    their emotions in a positive way that is helpful and not harmful.

  6. Somehow, we’ve been taught that we should never let our emotions be

    because we only relate them to negative circumstances.

  7. The story of Joyce shows us that people are unable to have good spiritual and relational health beyond the level of their

    health.

    of God’s Word and love will drive out fear and help us to control our emotional difficulties.

  9. With every negative problem, we have 3 possible responses:
    a) We can

  14. Because of Jesus’ obedience, we can have a relationship with God, and look to the

    as God’s answer to our emotional pain.

  15. Having a thriving relationship with God will certainly cause us to

    a wholesome, fruitful self-image.

  16. God tells us that through our faith in Jesus Christ, we are sons and daughters of God, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, we are considered God’s special possession, and we are

    of future glory.
