SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS
WARM UP QUESTION: They say you should never meet your heroes because you will be disappointed. Have you ever met one of your heroes?
HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read [2 Chronicles 14:2-5](2 Chronicles 14:2-5) and 11. For 35 years, Asa was a great king. What made him that way? What kind of view of God did he have?
2. Read 2 Chronicles 16:1-9. After 35 years of following God, what do you think might have caused Asa to stop relying on God?
HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
3. As you think about Asa’s fall, his relying on himself and not God,
o What causes your heart to think it’s better to rely on yourself than God?
o How can you be more aware of when your heart begins to harden?
HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
4. Read Ps 86:11. How can you practically have an undivided heart. What is the Holy Spirit calling you to add or cut out of your life?
