2 Simple Answers:
• If you can get out of the pain or problem ethically – get out A. S. A. P.
• If you cannot get out of pain or a problem ethically - Hang in there!


Temptation: The desire to do something wrong


Trial: A Hardship


When facing temptation – we win by running from it


Matthew 5:29:30
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

1 Corinthians 6:18
18 Flee from sexual immorality.


2 Timothy 2:22
22 Flee the evil desires of youth


When facing hardship – we win by standing up to it.


James 4:7
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.


4 Questions when making a decision:
1.What does God say?
God will speak through Scripture
God will speak through the Holy Spirit


Proverbs 3:5-7
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.

Proverbs 13:16
16 Wise people think before they act; fools don’t—and even brag about their foolishness.

- Our friends aren’t necessarily a wise person


Proverbs 14:7
7 Stay away from a fool, for you will not find knowledge on their lips.
- A bible “expert” is not necessarily a wise person

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
