Rather Than .

Jael (Judg. 5:8, 26).

Shamgar (Judg. 3:31).

Gideon (Judg. 7:19–23).

A Woman of Thebez (Judg. 9:53)

Moses With His Staff

Why do we keep seeing this pattern in scripture?

1) To Show Divine Power Over Human Strength.

The strange choice of weapons highlights that victory is only possible with God’s help!

2) Prophetic Peace.

The triumph of tools over weapons symbolizes

that God will ultimately bring to the world.

3) They Foreshadow The Ultimate Victory Won By Tools.

In this battle, Jesus, the carpenter, defeats our enemies with nails, hammers and wooden planks.
