I. Submit to
A. Submit to governing authorities.
Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
II. Do not
Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.”
III. Give to
Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
IV. The
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

We should participate in politics. Matthew 5:13-16
We are instructed to pray for leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
We must become more nuanced in our politics.

The Bible never promises safety or freedom of religion. 2 Timothy 3:12, 1 Peter 3:14-17
