Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. —1 Kings 16:30 (NKJV)
3 Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals, 4 but sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel. —2 Chronicles 17:3–4 (NKJV)

But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not still a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of Him?” “There is still one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla.” —2 Chronicles 18:6-7 (NKJV)
Four Keys To Breaking Up With Bad Company:
1. Flee ungodly influences.
Then Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned safely to his house in Jerusalem. —2 Chronicles 19:1 (NKJV)
2. Listen to and follow godly counsel… even when it’s not easy.
Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you.” —2 Chronicles 19:2 (NIV)
Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. —Proverbs 27:6 (NKJV)
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. —Ephesians 4:15 (NIV)
“There is, however, some good in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles and have set your heart on seeking God.” —2 Chronicles 19:3 (NIV)
3. Be the godly influence.
So Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the mountains of Ephraim, and brought them back to the Lord God of their fathers. —2 Chronicles 19:4 (NKJV)
4. Take your battles to the Lord.
1 After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to wage war against Jehoshaphat. 2 Some people came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Dead Sea. It is already in Hazezon Tamar” (that is, En Gedi). 3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. 4 The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him. —2 Chronicles 20:1-4 (NIV)
As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. —2 Chronicles 20:22 (NIV)
