Title: The Challenge Of The Lord’s Supper
Text: 1 Corinthians 11:23-34

Introduction: As Christians, we gladly come together on this Lord’s Day to celebrate The Lord’s Supper. As we do, let’s remember that it is more than a quiet, rich, spiritual experience in which we share from time to time. Beneath the dignity of this ordinance rests some stern challenges that only the mature in spirit will dare to meet.

Only until we are strong enough to respond to the challenge of our Lord’s Supper will we ever really experience the peace and closeness to God that it can impart. The Lord’s Supper will be nothing more to us than a religious ritual mechanically observed unless we are willing to allow its challenge to probe deeply into our hearts. What challenges? There are at least five we should focus on this morning.
