Psalm 8:3-4
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained;
4 What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?

It’s not what you look at that matters, but what you see.

Matthew 7:7-11
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

“The growing population will inevitably outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death in the next 10 years…within 20 years, more than ¼ of the world population will die from starvation – huge wars will be fought over food.”
(April 22, 1970 at the first Earth Day – Stanford Univ. Biology Prof. Paul Ehrlich)

God is generous. His world is good. He will show me how to prosper in it.

Matthew 7:9-11
Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

The way you see the world, and your future prospects in it, is a reflection of the way you see God.

Matthew 7:7-8
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Engaging God in prayer must include a willingness to change, grow, enlarge your faith and understanding, and deepen your commitment.

Matthew 6:7
“And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words.

Matthew 6:8
So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

Seeking means paying attention with an engaged mind and an alert attitude.

As we continue seeking, God purifies our desires, clarifies His will and enlarges our vision.

What does it mean to knock?
Knocking means seeking to gain entrance.

Luke 12:32
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.

Matthew 7:11
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Studies show that a person’s attitude is a far better predictor of success than their IQ.
