Introduction
12 “You must have a designated area outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. 13 Each of you must have a spade as part of your equipment. Whenever you relieve yourself, dig a hole with the spade and cover the excrement. 14 The camp must be holy, for the Lord your God moves around in your camp to protect you and to defeat your enemies. He must not see any shameful thing among you, or he will turn away from you. —Deuteronomy 23:12–14 (NLT)
Our Biblical Lens
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. —2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NLT)
Scripture, Reason, Tradition, and Experience
16 Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. 17 Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. —2 Timothy 3:16–17 (MSG)
Paul and Women
12 I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. —1 Timothy 2:12 (NLT)
34 Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. They should be submissive, just as the law says. 35 If they have any questions, they should ask their husbands at home, for it is improper for women to speak in church meetings. —1 Corinthians 14:34–35 (NLT)
Give my greetings to Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in the ministry of Christ Jesus. —Romans 16:3 (NLT)
The churches here in the province of Asia send greetings in the Lord, as do Aquila and Priscilla and all the others who gather in their home for church meetings. —1 Corinthians 16:19 (NLT)
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a deacon in the church in Cenchrea. —Romans 16:1 (NLT)

Close your eyes, and memorize the word, image, or verse in your heart.
Ask yourself: What is God trying to say to me, personally? Reflect on this and where you need insight, encouragement, correction, or change. Write your thoughts below.
Say a prayer and be honest with God about your feelings and thoughts. What do you need to do in obedience to God? Write a concrete and specific application below.
Take some time today to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and clear your mind. Sit in stillness and silence with God. It’s okay if distractions come. Simply observe them without judgment, let them go, and return your focus to the cadence of your breath. The goal is to relax in the presence of God without an agenda—to be with God.
