WARM UP QUESTION
According to Merriam-Webster, delight is defined as: “Something that gives great pleasure”. What memory or who comes to mind when you think of delight?

HEAD: These questions help us examine the Word.
1. Read Philippians 3:3-6. Before coming to know Christ, Paul had it all –prestige, power, success, etc.
Why is confidence in the flesh dangerous?
What is it about success that might distract someone from delighting in Jesus?
2. Read Philippians 3:7-14. Observe all the aspects of how Paul describes his delight in knowing Jesus.

HEART: These questions help us wrestle with what we believe.
3. In Philippians 3:7-8 Paul let’s us know that literally everything the world offers is loss (damaged goods) compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus.
Is it easy for you to agree with Paul here? Is it easy to let go of what the world offers?
According to verse 10, knowing Christ is the greatest delight in Paul’s life. What does it look like to embrace Jesus as your greatest delight?

HAND: These questions help us bring truth and beliefs into our everyday life.
4. In order to make Jesus your greatest delight, priorities and desires might need to change. Is there an action step you need to take, something you need to change, or alter in order to delight in Jesus more fully?
