Eph 3:16-19… “I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love… may be able to comprehend what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love… and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge… so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God… to do above and beyond all we ask or think…”

insecurity is huge issue… United Nations Development Program revealed 84% plagued by feelings of insecurity… Americans feel insecure at least 5 times a day… where does that come from… based entirely on who you trust… word or world…
Psa 37:5… “commit your way to the Lord… trust in Him… He will act…”
Prov 3:5… “trust in the Lord with all your heart… not your own understanding…”
Prov 29:25… “fear of man is a snare… whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe…”
Isa 12:2… “surely God is my salvation… I will trust and not be afraid…”
Isa 26:3… “you will keep in perfect peace… those who trust in you…”
Isa 30:15… “in rest you shall be victorious… trust shall be your strength…”
insecurity will pursue you all the days of your life until you stand secure in the promises of God’s word… deeper root comes from not rightly dividing OC/NC…

Titus 1:2… “hope rests on eternal life… which God, who doesn’t lie, promised…”
Heb 2:15… “thru His death… Jesus destroyed the one holding the power of death, the devil… and set free those held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death…”
Every Christian I’ve met who believes they can lose their salvation has always given a reason that involves them. What if I commit suicide? What if I get a divorce? What if I stop believing? Fill in the blank, but it’s all the same. Every hypothetical scenario puts us at the center of the equation. we stand secure on the promises of God to us… not on our promises to Him…
Psa 52… “why boast about evil… God’s faithful love is constant…”
Rom 8:9… “HS lives in you… if anyone does not have HS, he is not His…”
1Cor 1:8-9… “He will keep you strong to the end… free from all blame… He is faithful…”
2Cor 1:21-22… “God confirms you in Christ… sealed us with promised HS…”
2Tim 2:13… “if we are faithless… He remains faithful…”
never know you are secure in anything… until you know you are secure in your salvation… never know either until you know security of God’s word… to lose eternal life… God would have to forget you… cast you out… withdraw HS… condemn you… remember your sins… leave you… blot out your name…
Isa 49:15… “even if a mother could forget her child… yet, I will not forget you…”
John 6:37… “the one who comes to Me… I will never cast out…”
John 14:16… “He will give you another Counselor… to be with you forever…”

always a but when it comes to eternal security… what about scriptures that tell us to hold fast… continue… endure… do we have a need to overcome, obey, avoid sin, be holy and persevere… yes… but who supplies those needs… you or God…

first, settle issue of eternal security… then be able to stand secure on all of God’s other promises… security in life and death comes from reading word… pray…
