1 John 1:5-10 (ESV)

5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Intro: We were created to be known by God.

OPENNESS WITH GOD

OPENNESS WITH OTHERS

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …
1 - Praise the Lord for His mercy and grace. What incredible news that God has created us to be known by Him!

2 - When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. Take God at His word and confess your sins to Him and experience His healing power!

3 - Give thanks to the Lord! It is amazing that God removes our sin and replaces our sin with Jesus’ righteousness!

4 - Are there any areas of your life that are being kept in the darkness? In what ways have we tried to belittle sin, blameshift or bury sin in our lives?

5 - What might be holding you back from opening your life up to others? Who can you open your life up to as a way to display the freedom that comes from Christ?
