DQ: The Best is Yet to Come - Pt. 6
May 30, 2020

INTRODUCTION: Think of a time in your life where looking ahead to the end result was the only way you were able to get through each day. Please share with your group.

DISCUSS
1. Which of the “no mores” in V 4 helps you realize that the best is yet to come?
2. What interests you most about the description of the New Jerusalem?
3. What do you think is the importance of the origin of the river of the water of life coming from the throne of God?
4. How do you think the nations will be healed by the leaves of the tree of life?
5. Is there a specific nation that you will especially rejoice in its healing?
6. How would you live today differently knowing that tomorrow you would be in heaven?

PRAY
We recently studied the Serenity Prayer. It seems extremely appropriate this week.

Pray together:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting the hardship as the pathway to peace.

Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with You forever in the next.*
