1. Why is giving our money so
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” (Matt. 6:24)
“People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” (1 Tim. 6:9-10a)
2.It’s a question of
“You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” (1 Cor. 6:19b-20)
“Everything comes from you, and we have given you (returned to you) only what comes from your hand.” (1 Chron. 29:14b)
3. Let
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)
4. It is not about equal
“He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. ‘I tell you the truth,’ he said, ‘this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.’” (Luke 21:2-4)
5. Are you
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
“Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How did we rob you?’ ‘In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse - the whole nation of you - because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… Test me in this’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven…’” (Malachi 3:8-10a)
