INTRO: In today’s world, where do you see hope?

DISCUSS:

1. The relationship between a mom and her son is sacred: “Woman,
   behold thy son! Behold your mother!” Jesus is humanity. While on
   earth, Jesus was fully human and fully God. He knows us.
   (a) How does this bless you?
   (b) How does this challenge you?
2. Micah 6:8 (ESV) “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
   (a) Despite what is going on in your life, do you have time to DO justice?
   (b) What does that calling (DOING justice) look like to you?
3. On the cross, Jesus created a brand-new family for his mother.
   (a) How has your biological family supported you in a crisis?
   (b) How has your spiritual family supported you in a crisis?c. How have you, yourself, supported another hurting sister or brother?
4. Families, both biological and spiritual, are a gift from God. However,
   families can be a challenge due to communication breakdowns, differing values, and generational clashes.
   (a) What guidance does the word of God provide for supporting family members who are facing challenges?
   (b) Jesus’ family is best! What is the good news you hear?

PRAY:
May the Lord bless us and protect us. May the Lord smile on us and be
gracious to us. May the Lord show us his favor and give us his peace. AMEN
