We’re jumping in to learn some great lessons from the lesser known “unsung heroes” in Scripture. Some of the most inspiring heroes of our faith were ordinary people whom God used in extraordinary ways. How can you allow God to use you?

Unsung Heroes - The Widows Mite
Most of the time, I see only what I can see for myself from God. I fail to see what He sees, and I’ve learned to rely on my own understanding.
21 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites.[a] 3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings [b]for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” —Luke 21:1-4 - The Widow’s Two Mites
As Christians, we’re called to behave and live in a certain manner: not to deceive or pretend we’re better than others, but because we have been set apart for a purpose. Christ calls us to be His witnesses on earth.
Two lessons I have learned from this Unsung Hero:
Jesus is sensitive to the attitude of your heart.
Jesus instills in us a faith that gives.
When you understand that God is with you, the boldness to proclaim His name becomes the norm.
Are we being influenced more by culture or by the Word of God?
When we understand Jesus, we understand that he atones for our sin… meaning- He covers us so that sin will no longer separate us from Him.
