Taking it Further To Help You THRIVE…

  1. Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?

2. Of the 10 areas of victory we discussed Sunday, which one is hardest for you to receive? Are you living with a struggle over which you sense the need for victory? What makes receiving victory difficult? Do you think there are times we choose to live in struggle instead of receiving victory? If so, why?

3. Read through Romans 8:1-11. Based on these verses, discuss some elements of living a victorious Christian life. In what areas are you thriving? In what areas do you need more help / growth?

4. Many of Israel’s enemies repeatedly came against God’s people - they were unrelenting in their attacks and provocation. Have you (do you) have people (or circumstances) in your life that seem this way toward you? How are we to respond in such situations?

5. Verse 15 says this: The Lord gave David victory wherever he went. The victory was God’s doing - not David’s, yet David had battles to fight. How are we to balance receiving victory from God and ‘getting in there and doing our part’? Do we have a responsibility in this matter? Explain.
