The Good News of a Savior Who Brings Good from Evil, Genesis 50:15-21

  1. Judas’ betrayal of Jesus is even more than how Joseph was betrayed.
  2. Jesus’ suffering on the cross was infinitely than Joseph’s suffering in jail even though they both were falsely accused.
  3. As great as Joseph’s reversal was, it doesn’t even begin to to the reversal we see in Jesus Christ!
  4. As Joseph did not seek revenge on his brothers but continued to love and care for them, so also Jesus gives us the promise that because of all he did for us, nothing will separate us from , as he keeps us in the one true faith.
  5. We can rest assured, knowing that even though we did our worst to Jesus on Good Friday, from the darkness of Calvary, Jesus brings us the of . Jesus brought good out of evil. He still brings good out of evil. He will continue to bring good out of evil.

If God can bring good out of evil (though he never brings evil willingly on us), how much more can he bring good out of the good things he has already done for us! How, in your life, does God build upon the love he has already shown you in Jesus Christ?
