Begin the time by praying together
DISCUSS (OPTION 1):
1. “Oh how He loves us” How are you experiencing God’s love right now?
2. In John 13:21-30, Jesus let the disciples know that Judas would betray him. How can you identify with Jesus or Judas in their actions that night?
3. In John 13:34-35, Jesus commands us to “Love one another” and says “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples.” How are you living this or seeing this in others in your life? How are you growing in this area of your life?
4. In Matthew 26:31-35, 39-45, the disciples fall asleep while Jesus is away praying, how are you “falling asleep” in your spiritual life?
DISCUSS (OPTION 2):
This is a protocol for reading through, meditating on, and discussing Scripture. You will read through each passage 3 times (or you can just select a few from above). Before the passage is read aloud, read the prompt so you know what you are listening for during the reading of the passage. Take a few moments to contemplate then have group members share what they noticed. Read the second prompt followed by the same passage. Contemplate and discuss. Read the third prompt followed by the same passage.
Prompt 1 (noticings): What word or phrase stands out to you and why?
Prompt 2 (feelings): What feelings do you notice in the people in this passage or what feelings do you have while reading this passage?
Prompt 3 (applications): Who do you identify with most in this passage or how does it relate to your life?
PRAYER: Lord thank you for coming to this earth to save us. May we be filled with your light this week.
