God’s Presence is Personal

Exodus 25:22
22 And THERE I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Covenant, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

God didn’t lift you up to leave you out.

1 Samuel 7:1-2
1 So the men of Kiriath-jearim came to get the Ark of the Lord. They took it to the hillside home of Abinadab and ordained Eleazar, his son, to be in charge of it. 2 The Ark remained in Kiriath-jearim for a long time — twenty years in all. During that time all Israel mourned because it seemed the Lord had abandoned them.

God’s Presence is Priceless

2 Samuel 6:12-15
12 So David went there and brought the Ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to the City of David with a great celebration. 13 After the men who were carrying the Ark of the Lord had gone six steps, David sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. 14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly garment. 15 So David and all the people of Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord with shouts of joy and the blowing of rams’ horns.

God’s Presence is Impactful

2 Samuel 6:22
22 Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish (undignified) this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes!

Luke 23:44-46
44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last.
