Pastor Ryan Holt
AV First
Acts 1:4–8 (NIV) Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. … But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
1. He Gives Us
1 Corinthians 2:4–5 (NIV)
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
Boldness Is Not A Personality Trait; It’s A Product Of Power Of The Holy Spirit.
God Doesn’t Call The Equipped; He Equips The Called.
2. He Gives Us Power in Our
Romans 8:26 (NIV) In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us.
1 Corinthians 12:9-10 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The End Of Your Strength Is The Beginning Of His Supply.
3. He Gives Us Power to Live
Romans 8:11 (NIV) And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you… He will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
2 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT) By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
The Same Spirit Who Raised Jesus From The Grave Can Raise You Out Of Any Pit You’re In.
You Are Empowered By His Spirit To Live Boldly, To Find Strength In Weakness, And To Live Supernaturally.
