Pass it On: Part 2
How are We to Pass on Faith? | Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Scripture:

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that He has redeemed them from the power of the foe. Psalm 107:1-2 CSB

Prompt:
Breath in deeply and, if you are able to, open up your hands and place them in front of you. Think of 1-3 things Jesus has done for you, and thank Him for that. Imagine giving your praise to God.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 NIV

Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. —Deuteronomy 6:7

Passing on faith happens in moments.

“You can teach your children what you know, but you’ll reproduce in them what you are.” ——John Maxwell

…each generation tells of your faithfulness to the next. Isaiah 38:19 NLT

The is found in the ordinary.

Passing on faith means focusing on over education.

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith?” Matthew 6:26-30 NIV
