In our lives we are either feeding the Spirit or our flesh.
When it comes down to it, living the Christian life is simply a matter of where we set our minds. That is something we are free to do. Having been raised with Christ and forgiven forever, and having Jesus with us in all that we do, the primary practice of living as a Christian boils down to what we think about, what we dwell on, what values we keep before our minds, what truths (or lies) we have in our consciousness. —James Bryan Smith, Author
In our lives we’re trying to answer two general questions:
1. Who am I?
2. Where am I?
Deeper Question:
Am I significant?
Already, not yet experience.
Our lives are Christ.
There is distinction between bios-life and zoe-life.
•Bios-life refers to the physical life we live.
•Zoe-life refers to the deeper life, the spiritual life.
The New Testament never speaks of eternal life as something that begins only at death, something new into which death suddenly ushers us: that is quite unscriptural. On the contrary, the New Testament always speaks of eternal life as something that begins here and now, on this side of the grave, something that exists as a present possession of those who are in fellowship with God. —James S. Stewart, Author
Those small victories we enjoy today point us to the future victory we will enjoy in Christ.
