1. Icebreaker: When have you run away from home or some responsibility?
2. When has God asked you to do something which ran completely against your natural desires? How did that situation turn out?
3. How is physical adultery like spiritual adultery against God?
4. Why does God call Hosea to such a radical step of obedience? What is surprising to you about this? Stop and pray about what you discovered.
5. How would you explain the gospel to someone who reads Hosea for the first time? Practice this with a partner and give each other feedback about what you hear and experience.
6. Pray either for people you know who have experienced broken marriages (OR) those who are resistant to the love of God.
