Taking Dominion Over the Orphan Spirit!
Part of Baptism in the Holy Spirit
June 15, 2025

John 14:18
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

The answer to this orphan spirit is the spirit of adoption and the spirit of sonship.

The Answer to Fatherlessness:
For all the men in this room today to be healed of the “ORPHAN SPIRIT” and receive the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

The Amplified Bible has five words that best define the orphan spirit: COMFORTLESS, DESOLATE, BEREAVED, FORLORN and HELPLESS.

Romans 8:14-16
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage
again to fear, but you received the spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.

  • Adam wasn’t just God’s masterpiece; Adam was God’s son with lineage to Jesus.
  • The devil was and will continually be the first orphan.
  • A home is not only a physical structure but a place where there is the assurance of unconditional love.

“Home is the only place in all this world where hearts are sure of
each other. It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear
off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world
forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the
unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts. It is the
spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation
of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule.” —Frederick Robertson

The inability to connect with a father can bring a son to a place of desolation.

  • Shame is another fruit of an orphan spirit.
  • The lack of trust is another manifestation of the orphan spirit.
  • The orphan spirit will either rise up in rebellion or establish a religion.

WHERE DO YOU SIT?
In this life, where I sit matters: Therefore I must be sure I sit in the right chair.

  • CHAIR #1 is about the Kingdom of God
  • CHAIR #2 is the Kingdom of Self
  • CHAIR #3 is the Kingdom of the World.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:13-16
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[a] 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”[b] But we have the mind of Christ.

ROMANS 8:14-17
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, “Abba,[b] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
