Welcome to church!!

We are so excited you’re joining us for worship. Whether you’re here with us in person, or tuning in online, we believe that God has a word for you today. If this is your first time visiting, or maybe you’ve been coming for a while but haven’t taken a next step to let us know, we can’t encourage you enough to fill out Connect Card at one of the green tables at wour Welcome Home area in the lobby, or go to the PATHWAYS tab at the bottom of the screen in the Life Church app and fill a digital Connect Card in the FIND FAMILY section. As always, never hesitate to let us know if there’s any specific way we can be praying for you!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 NKJV

What is Salvation?

1. A Gift.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV

Salvation is not a goal to be achieved but a gift to be received.

2. Eternal life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23 NIV

And this is what he promised us – eternal life.

1 John 2:25 NIV

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 NIV

3. Forgiveness.

“For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Jeremiah 31:34 NKJV

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 103:12 NKJV

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1 NIV

4. Redemption.

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV

5. Total Commitment.

Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

Luke 6:46 NIV

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Luke 9:23 NIV

Basics of Salvation

1. Believe in Jesus

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

John 1:12 NLT

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 NKJV

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:30-31 NKJV
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:9-10 NIV

2. Repent

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Acts 3:19 NIV

3. Be Water Baptized

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Mark 16:16 NIV

Baptizo - to plunge, to drown, to immerse, to sink, to deluge, to soak, to saturate, to drench.

Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

Colossians 2:12 NKJV

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

Romans 6:1-8 NKJV

Baptism is a public declaration of a new association.

36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” 37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.

Acts 8:36-39 NKJV

Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” 15 But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him.

Matthew 3:13-15 NLT

For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

Romans 10:11 ESV

Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it.”

Romans 10:11 MSG
