God First

Prov 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.[a]

The late hymn writer Frederick Whitfield said “Christ must be first or He will be nothing.”

Pastor and author Max Lucado wrote, “we exist to make a big deal out of God.”

Your priorities must be God first, God second, and God third, until your life is continually face to face with God.”(Oswald Chambers)

Eph 5:22-28
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. The Joy of Submission. Gods timing, not mine. Gods will, not mine. Gods plan, not mine. Gods glory, not mine.

Philippians 2:3-11
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

to the glory of God the Father.

Deuteronomy 6:4-8
