“A Resurrected Hope!”
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. —1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)
He restored their hope in His
“Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die. God promised this Good News long ago through his prophets in the holy Scriptures. The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line, and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. —Romans 1:2-4 (NLT)
How real was the resurrection to the disciples?

The One who has power over death has power over ALL of your life!
He restored their hope in His Unconditional Love.
Coming back from the dead showed the magnitude of His Greatness.
Coming back to His Disciples showed the magnitude of His Grace.
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. —Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)
