Project 320: Because Normal Isn’t Working
Ephesians 3:20-21 NLT

GOD CALLS US TO BE DIFFERENT THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD!
The problem of being normal: The problem of trying to be “normal” in a culture that lives apart from God, is that your life cannot reflect the glory of God.
Francis Chan “Having faith often means doing what others see as crazy. Something is wrong when our lives make sense to unbelievers.” Unpack that!
Point # 1. God calls us to value things differently than the rest of the world!
Time:
*What’s normal?* We spend too much time on the urgent and not enough on the important!

She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” [41] But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! [42] There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Martha- was distracted by everything she was planning. The Urgent
Mary- Sat at the Lord’s feet. The Important
Martha- was distracted by the details. The Urgent
Mary- realized there was only one thing to be concerned about, and that was Jesus… The Important
A busy lifestyle doesn’t mean you’re important, it simply means you’re busy

Truths about time management:
a. We rarely follow through with our good intentions because we lack the faith that God will provide enough time.
b. We try to find meaning in what we do rather than in who we are.
c. We must learn to say no to good things, so we can say yes to God things.

- Living paycheck to paycheck
- Worry
- Financial tension
- Fear of lack
- A poverty mindset
- Wanting to give but lacking the margin to do so

God’s definition of a happy life... Christ is all that I need.

Two things that happen when we put God first in our finances:
a. We become supernaturally content.
