BIG PICTURE: Samson’s accomplishments are legendary—as are his weaknesses. In his story we see tremendous God-given potential and his self-destruction because he didn’t deal with issues in his life. What can we learn? Coming to grips with our weaknesses is a strength. Through Jesus we can learn to be less self-sufficient and rely more on God’s strength.
TEXT: Judges 13-16
KEY VERSE: …“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”… – 2 Corinthians 12:9
ATTITUDES THAT MAKE US WEAK
ATTITUDES THAT MAKE US STRONG
I want
I deserve
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 3:23
All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. —Ephesians 2:3
I can’t handle
