WORSHIP IS: Awe-Inspiring
Revelation 4
“Worship is not, and never has been, something people
in order to be entertained, or fed. Worship can be entertaining. Worship can be richly nourishing. I have pleasant memories of worship being both of those things to me. But those are not the reasons God calls us to worship.” —Douglas Brouwer

AWE OF GOD
GOD IS WORTHY OF ALL OUR WORSHIP
worship =
“Worship is seeing what God is worth and giving him what he’s worth.” —Tim Keller
“This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being. This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over
; and on account of his dominion he is wont to be called Lord God.” —Sir Isaac Newton
REJOICE IN TOUGH TIMES
“
is the visible image of the invisible . He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.” —Colossians 1:15-20 NLT
