Teaching Pastor: Todd Carter

“These commandments that I give you today, are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7 NIV

Commissioning

  • I charge you, right now, Christ-follower, with the sacred and profound responsibility of passing on your faith to the next generation.
  • to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
  • to live out your faith in Christ vibrantly so that the next generation will see it and emulate your character and your good deeds.
  • to let the commandments of God so shape your life that you will impress them on your children as you walk along the road, as you lie down, and as you get up.
  • as you live out being the primary spiritual influencer in a child’s life that you will wholeheartedly trust God with the outcome. Knowing that God loves that child or children in your life more than you.
  • finally, to persevere, even when it appears there’s no hope to do all that you can to pass on our faith in Jesus to the next generation.

I WILL have a 5-minute intentional conversation with the kid in my life.
