- Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem – Good overall and highly readable introduction to Christian doctrine. Available at cost in The Hub and also for Logos Bible Software. Though there are a few places where Scott and Mark Liebert would disagree with Grudem, we often use it as a guide on our Brown Bags & Bibles podcast.

Exodus 29:38-46 – 38 “Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day regularly. 39 One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight. 40 And with the first lamb a tenth measure of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering. 41 The other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as in the morning, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD. 42 It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. 43 There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory. 44 I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests. 45 I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God. 46 And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.

(1) God Desires Continual Communion with Us
Hebrews 10:11-12, 14 – 11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
(2) Holiness—in Any Place and in You—Originates from God’s Presence
(3) God’s Faithfulness Assures His Ongoing Presence Among Believers
Do I respond to His desire for communion with us by seeking Him daily?
And am I seeing my entire life as the joy of embodying His presence to a world in desperate need of hope?
