The Gospel Going Global

Acts 11:1-3

  • ‭‭Answer the Call (Verse 12)
    • Making NO DISTINCTION
    • I don’t get to decide who SHOULD receive the good news of the Gospel, the Gospel is for ALL.
  • The Same Gift (Verse 17)
    • The Holy Spirit doesn’t discriminate.
    • These Gentiles are receiving the SAME forgiveness, love, and acceptance as the Jews.
    • God’s grace is for EVERYONE!!
      • The inmates, the poor, the homely, every race, creed, denomination, background, political party. ALL.
  • Who was I? (Verse 17)
    • Every time I DON’T share the Gospel I’m standing in the way of someone receiving it.
    • I need to remember, I DIDN’T deserve the FREE gift of God’s grace and forgiveness, but someone was willing to share it with me!
  • Life Giving Repentance (Verse 18)
    • Repentance leads to LIFE! Why wouldn’t we share LIFE?
    • It doesn’t matter what you look like, or where you come from. God’s grace is SUFFICIENT!
  • The Common Spreader (Verse 20)
    • The spreading of the Gospel is NOT just for the preacher. The spreading of the Gospel is the call placed on ALL OF OUR LIVES.

The gospel has just went GLOBAL. Jesus told them, but now they’re seeing it!

“If you believe that there’s a heaven and a hell, and people could be going to hell or not getting eternal life, and you think that it’s not really worth telling them this because it would make it socially awkward—and atheists who think people shouldn’t proselytize and who say just leave me along and keep your religion to yourself—how much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?

“I mean, if I believed, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that a truck was coming at you, and you didn’t believe that truck was bearing down on you, there is a certain point where I tackle you. And this is more important than that.”
