John 6:32-35:
“Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.” Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”

To Think About:
James 1:5-6a:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting…”
So often sermons on “stewardship” focus on “ME”! And usually it has a feeling of guilt because I realize I am focusing on “me” too much OR I’m “NOT” doing this or that with what I’m supposed to believe God has given me. This is loaded territory! There are many minefields when one approaches “stewardship”. The enemy has emplaced strongholds at every turn. So we must be careful how we think about our life and what God has called us to do! In this series on Generosity, we’re going to focus on GOD’S generosity and how that impacts us…instead of sermons on “how to”. How To’s are great and we’ll get more practical in the Christian Growth Time, but here, we want to focus on God’s Generosity TO us! We see that MOST clearly in Jesus! SO…if we want to be better stewards or just understand how to respond to Him, we must get to know Him better! As we see HOW generous He’s been to us and how good He is to us…it can change our heart and help us see how to deal with the “stuff of life”!
