Today we want to address: HOW DO YOU WIN THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE?
Two Important Truths about Gaining Victory over our spiritual Battle

1 The Battle is already won; our task is to Trust and Obey

So, the lesson is simple—for the Believer, the spiritual battle has already been accomplished! God has already given us the victory!

First the battle has been won ultimately through the death and resurrection of Jesus

because the battle has already been won we can be assured that we can overcome the battle of the flesh and our sinful nature

I want us to see that COLLECTIVELY, THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH HAS ALREADY BEEN ACCOMPLISHED—WE SIMPLY HAVE TO GO AND CONQUER IT THROUGH THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL!

OUR TASK THEN IS TO SIMPLY TRUST AND OBEY!

2 In the Battle you are either Devoted to Salvation or Devoted to Destruction

First…those devoted to salvation—Rahab and her family

Second, Those Devoted to Destruction

At the end of the story Joshua places a curse on Jericho—see verses 26—this shows that God will not be mocked
