Icebreaker - To what degree do you personally value comfort? Do you have a favorite place you go or chair you sit in after a long or difficult day/week?

Read Psalm 119:49-64 ESV

1. Which verses of this passage stand out to you?
   

2. In what ways are you in need of comfort in this season? (Have you slowed down enough to evaluate and more fully understand your need for comfort?)
   

3. When was the last time you laid awake at night with your mind racing with worry or felt overwhelmed? Have you experienced unexplainable comfort from God during a time like this that turned into thoughts of gratitude?
   

4. Who are people in your life that are companions in the faith, brothers or sisters who are a gift of comfort from the Lord? When was the last time you thanked them for journeying with you through your highs and lows?
   

5. Read vv.52, 57-58, and 64 again. Which is especially encouraging to you? Meditate on it over the next few days and see how it brings comfort to you.
