Impact of the Cross

Philippians 2:5-11; Romans 1:16; Hebrews 9:11-15

3/24/24

Jesus’s death on the cross changed everything on earth, as we now have access to a personal relationship with the living God. Not only is the gift of eternal life given by His grace, but Jesus wants to use us to make an impact in the lives of lost people.

The pathway to “impact” is humility.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12

Sometimes adversity is a bridge to a deeper relationship with God.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3

Following Jesus means allowing Him to live His life through us.
“…being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

Action Points:
Choose to live sacrificially.
Ask God to begin something in you that will make an impact.
