Nothing this world offers can provide lasting peace.
There is only ONE WAY to truly experience PEACE…
There is a third layer…

Jesus is the center of it all
Peace is God’s nature
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. —NLT Isaiah 9:6
Peace is God’s desire for us.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” —NLT John 16:33
Jesus is the means of peace.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. —NIV Isaiah 53:5 OR Colossians 1:19-20
FOUR STEPS TO TAKE in order to experience the fullness of God’s peace:
1. Abide
I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. —NLT John 15:1–4
2. Avoid
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. —NIV Galatians 5:16–17
3. Work at building peace with others
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. —NIV Matthew 5:9
Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. —NLT Hebrews 12:14
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone —NIV Romans 12:18
4. Have a plan when threats arise
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. —NIV Philippians 4:6–9
