5 DAY DEVOTIONAL

Day 1: Approaching God’s Throne with Confidence
Reading: Hebrews 4:14-16
Devotional: Just as Esther approached King Xerxes’ throne at great personal risk, we too have been granted access to an even greater throne - the throne of God Himself. Unlike Esther, however, we need not fear rejection or death. Through Jesus Christ, we can approach God’s throne with confidence, knowing that we will receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Today, reflect on areas in your life where you need God’s grace and mercy. Take time to boldly approach His throne in prayer, laying your needs before Him with the assurance that He hears and cares for you.

Day 2: The Worthiness of the Lamb
Reading: Revelation 5:1-14
Devotional: In John’s vision, no one in heaven or on earth was found worthy to open the scroll - except for the Lamb who was slain. This Lamb, Jesus Christ, purchased people from every tribe and nation with His blood. His sacrifice made a way for us to enter God’s presence and serve Him as a kingdom of priests. Today, meditate on the worthiness of Jesus. How has His sacrifice changed your life? In what ways can you live as part of His kingdom of priests, serving God and others? Take time to worship Jesus for His worthiness and sacrifice.

Day 3: God’s Presence in Suffering
Reading: Revelation 7:9-17
Devotional: The multitude John saw in heaven had come out of great tribulation, yet they stood before God’s throne in victory. God promises to shelter them, satisfy their hunger and thirst, and wipe away every tear. This passage reminds us that no matter what trials we face on earth, God is with us and will ultimately bring us through to victory. Reflect on a difficult situation you’re facing. How can you invite God’s presence into your suffering? Remember that just as He shelters the saints in heaven, He is present with you now, offering comfort and hope.

Day 4: Speaking Truth in Love
Reading: Ephesians 4:11-16
Devotional: Mordecai spoke up for the welfare of his people, even when it was risky. As followers of Christ, we are called to speak the truth in love, helping each other grow into maturity in Christ. This requires courage, wisdom, and genuine care for others. Consider your relationships - are there truths you need to speak in love? How can you encourage others in their faith journey? Ask God for discernment and courage to speak His truth with gentleness and respect.

Day 5: For Such a Time as This
Reading: Esther 4:12-16
Devotional: Mordecai reminded Esther that she may have come to her royal position “for such a time as this.” Like Esther, God has placed each of us in our current circumstances for a purpose. He can use our unique position, gifts, and experiences to make a difference in the lives of others. Reflect on your current situation - your job, relationships, skills, and challenges. How might God be positioning you “for such a time as this”? Ask Him to reveal opportunities where you can be used for His purposes, and for the courage to step out in faith when He calls.
